Matthew 24:24 (3/5)

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
When you pray do not go on babbling endlessly as the pagans do, for they believe that they are more likely to be heard because of their many words. And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.
This is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.’
Give us this day our daily bread.Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions. But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.
Whenever you fast, do not assume a gloomy expression like the hypocrites who contort their faces so that others may realize that they are fasting. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. Now whenever you fast, do not make a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they distort their faces so that they will be noticed by people when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that the fact that you are fasting will not be obvious to others but only to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.But as for you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that your fasting will not be noticed by people but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where they will be destroyed by moth and rust and where thieves break in and steal. Rather, store up treasure for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves cannot break in and steal.Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart also be.For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
No one can serve two masters. For you will either hate the one and love the other or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Therefore, heed my words. Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body and what you will wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Gaze upon the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap or store in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of far greater value than they?Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they?
Rather, seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.
So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own.So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Do not judge, so that you in turn may not be judged.Do not judge, so that you will not be judged.
Why do you take note of the splinter in your brother’s eye but do not notice the wooden plank in your own eye?Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets. In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Enter through the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and those who find it are few in number.Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Be on guard against false prophets who come to you disguised in sheep’s clothing, but who inwardly are ravenous wolves.Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my heavenly Father. Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Everyone who hears these words of mine and acts in accordance with them will be like a wise man who constructed his house on a rock foundation. Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

When Jesus heard this, he said, “It is not the healthy who need a physician, but rather those who are sick.”But when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.”

Bible verse of the day

You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, what can be done to make it salty once again? It is no longer good for anything, and thus it is cast out and trampled underfoot.
