Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! | Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. |
| Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! | Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. |
| I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope. | I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. |
| I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and be careful to obey my rules, and keep my Sabbaths holy that they may be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God. | ‘I am the Lord your God,’ I told them. ‘Follow my decrees, pay attention to my regulations, and keep my Sabbath days holy, for they are a sign to remind you that I am the Lord your God.’ |
| O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch. | Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. |
| May my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew, like gentle rain upon the tender grass, and like showers upon the herb. | Let my teaching fall on you like rain; let my speech settle like dew. Let my words fall like rain on tender grass, like gentle showers on young plants. |
