Name of Jesus (2/4)

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.Is anyone among you sick? And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.
Help us, God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake.Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name's sake!
I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.
Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him—his name is the Lord. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his name is the Lord; exult before him! Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!
Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.For you are my rock and my fortress; and for your name's sake you lead me and guide me.
Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
