Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) | So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb also entered then, and he saw and believed. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? | But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him? |
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. | We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. |

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.
