Psalm 16:1 (4/9)

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them. For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
“And with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and, “You reward everyone according to what they have done.”Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver. For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
