Psalm 16:1 (9/9)

But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
Victory comes from you, O Lord. May you bless your people.Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love.For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Arise, O Lord! Punish the wicked, O God! Do not ignore the helpless!Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.
But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me.But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
