- And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
- Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
- Who can find a virtuous woman?
for her price is far above rubies. - For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
- Thou art all fair, my love;
there is no spot in thee. - And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
- Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
- Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.
- And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.
- Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
- Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
- Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
- House and riches are the inheritance of fathers:
and a prudent wife is from the Lord. - And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
- Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
- Iron sharpeneth iron;
so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. - For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
- But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
- A friend loveth at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity. - Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
- So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
- A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold. - Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
- If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
- Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
The Lord preserveth the strangers;
he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.Next verse!With image
