That is why the Lord says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.” | “Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping, and mourning.” |
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” | Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. |
Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” | So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” |

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing. | I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. |
Remember, you must not make any idols of silver or gold to rival me. | You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves. |
When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. | When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your comfort delights my soul. |
But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life. | The Lord will send His goodness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life. |

Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. | Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. |
Rescue me, O Lord, from liars and from all deceitful people. | Rescue my soul, Lord, from lying lips, From a deceitful tongue. |
But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.” | Therefore Jesus said, “For a little while longer I am going to be with you, and then I am going to Him who sent Me.” |
I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? | In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? |
But when you had eaten and were satisfied, you became proud and forgot me. | As they had their pasture, they became satisfied, And as they became satisfied, their heart became proud; Therefore they forgot Me. |
So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” | So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” |
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” | Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” |
Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.” | And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.” |
You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. | As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive. |
