Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful… Romans 7:7

Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful? Of course not! In fact, it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.” Romans 7:7	What then should we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet, if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” sin law desires

Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind. Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship. He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. Romans 8:8	And those who are in the flesh cannot please God. sin dependence desires

Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. Deuteronomy 8:5	Know then in your heart that as a parent disciplines a child so the Lord your God disciplines you. Father learning punishment
And how much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Yes, the law permits a person to do good on the Sabbath. Matthew 12:12	How much more valuable is a human being than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath. sabbath valuable
Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Psalm 34:13	Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. speaking evil truth
