It is a trap to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider one’s vows.Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God and only later counting the cost.

So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.So also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.
For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.

Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.
