- Yahweh commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahweh our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are today.
- He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
- We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
- Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- So teach us to count our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. - Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.
- But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the price of the land? While you kept it, didn’t it remain your own? After it was sold, wasn’t it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You haven’t lied to men, but to God.”
- Turn my heart toward your statutes,
not toward selfish gain. - Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh.
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions. - But he who endures to the end will be saved.
- For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.
- Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to Yahweh. - God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.
- The heart is deceitful above all things
and it is exceedingly corrupt.
Who can know it?
“I, Yahweh, search the mind.
I try the heart,
even to give every man according to his ways,
according to the fruit of his doings.” - The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
- My son, attend to my words.
Turn your ear to my sayings.
Let them not depart from your eyes.
Keep them in the center of your heart. - And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.
- Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning,
for I trust in you.
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
for I lift up my soul to you. - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.”
- I delight to do your will, my God.
