True love (2/4)

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.
Let all your things be done with charity.Let all that you do be done in love.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.

And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.You may say in your heart, “How shall we know the word which Yahweh has not spoken?” When a prophet speaks in Yahweh’s name, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.Those who love your law have great peace. Nothing causes them to stumble.
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.For this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil.

And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.And to love him with all the heart, with all the understanding, all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
