- God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
- Pray like this:
‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
Let your Kingdom come.
Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’ - Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great:
God was revealed in the flesh,
justified in the spirit,
seen by angels,
preached among the nations,
believed on in the world,
and received up in glory. - If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
- But our God is in the heavens.
He does whatever he pleases. - Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.
- Let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position; and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away.
- I wait for Yahweh.
My soul waits.
I hope in his word. - I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.
- For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.
- Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!”
- He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.” - You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.
- And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.
- I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
- Yahweh, in the morning you will hear my voice.
In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly. - For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.
- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.
- I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.
- For in him all the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily, and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power.
- Since you have been precious and honored in my sight,
and I have loved you,
therefore I will give people in your place,
and nations instead of your life. - Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- God sets the lonely in families.
He brings out the prisoners with singing,
but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land. - Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
- For a thousand years in your sight are just like yesterday when it is past,
like a watch in the night.
