Sin (2/6)

Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness have been yours from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth or my many transgressions, but remember me in your kindness, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord.Remember, Lord, Your compassion and Your faithfulness, For they have been from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth or my wrongdoings; Remember me according to Your faithfulness, For Your goodness’ sake, Lord.
If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Jesus replied, “Amen, amen, I say to you, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.”Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.”
The one who sows in his flesh will reap a harvest of corruption, but the one who sows in the Spirit will reap from the Spirit the reward of eternal life. For the one who sows to his own flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
Blessed is the one whose offense is forgiven, whose sin is erased. How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven, Whose sin is covered!
Those who live according to the flesh can never be pleasing to God.And those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift freely given by God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The righteous is remembered with blessings, but the name of the wicked fades away. The mentioning of the righteous is a blessing, But the name of the wicked will rot.
Repent, therefore, and be converted so that your sins may be wiped away. Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
If you are angry, do not sin. Do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not give the devil an opening.Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.
Therefore, when someone is guilty of any one of these things, he shall confess the sin he has committed. So it shall be when he becomes guilty of one of these things, that he shall confess that in which he has sinned.
What then shall we say? Should we persist in sin in order that grace may abound? Of course not! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer? What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
Repent and renounce all your transgressions. Otherwise your iniquity will prove to be your downfall.Repent and turn away from all your offenses, so that wrongdoing does not become a stumbling block to you.
I shall forgive them for their wicked deeds, and I shall remember their sins no more. For I will be merciful toward their wrongdoings, And their sins I will no longer remember.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it leads to death. There is a way which seems right to a person, But its end is the way of death.
Everyone who sins comes from the devil, for the devil has been a sinner from the very beginning. The Son of God appeared for this very purpose: to destroy the work of the devil. The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
Hence, I advise you to be guided by the Spirit, so that you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.
Do not love the world or what is in the world. If anyone does love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
But according to Scripture all things have been confined under sin, so that through faith in Jesus Christ what was promised might be given to those who believe. But the Scripture has confined everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
When someone sins and does any of the things that the Lord has forbidden, even if he does not realize he did it, he has still committed an offense and must bear his guilt. Now if a person sins and does any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, though he was unaware, he is still guilty and shall bear his punishment.
Everyone who sins breaks the law, for sin is lawlessness.Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
He made him who did not know sin to be sin for our sake, so that through him we might become the righteousness of God.He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
We have sinned and done what is wrong, we have acted wickedly and rebelled, we have rejected your commandments and your laws.We have sinned, we have done wrong, and acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances.
Where many words are spoken, sin is not absent, but whoever restrains his tongue is prudent. When there are many words, wrongdoing is unavoidable, But one who restrains his lips is wise.

Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.Sober up morally and stop sinning, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
