Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. Galatians 6:8	If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit. eternal life Spirit harvest

That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. Romans 8:8	And those who are in the flesh cannot please God. dependence desires

And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27	Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not make room for the devil. anger evil devil
Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. Acts 3:19	Repent therefore, and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out. conversion forgiveness repentance
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 1 Corinthians 15:56	The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. law idols
Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Psalm 32:1	Happy are those whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. forgiveness blessing
Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you! Ezekiel 18:30b	Repent and turn from all your transgressions; otherwise iniquity will be your ruin. conversion punishment
Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Romans 6:1-2	What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it? grace life
There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death. Proverbs 14:12	There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way to death. righteousness life thoughts
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 1 John 2:15	Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world. love Father world
We have happy memories of the godly, but the name of a wicked person rots away. Proverbs 10:7	The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot. righteousness blessing
Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. Isaiah 1:16	Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil. purification evil
“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.” Isaiah 1:18	Come now, let us argue it out, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be like snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. forgiveness purification blood
But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. Daniel 9:5	We have sinned and done wrong, acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and ordinances. confession law
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. Galatians 5:16	Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh. Spirit desires
When you become aware of your guilt in any of these ways, you must confess your sin. Leviticus 5:5	When you realize your guilt in any of these, you shall confess the sin that you have committed. confession
Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin. Leviticus 5:17	If any of you sin without knowing it, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, you have incurred guilt, and are subject to punishment. law punishment
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. Romans 6:14	For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. grace law
Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Psalm 32:5	Then I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the guilt of my sin. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8	Everyone who commits sin is a child of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. devil
I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent. Luke 5:32	I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance. repentance conversion Jesus
