42 Bible Verses about the Father - NIV & KJV (2/2)

Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me.But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
