| How great is your goodness, O Lord, which you have stored up for those who fear you and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you, in the presence of all the people. | Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! |
| In God, whose word I praise, in God I place my trust and know no fear; what can people do to me? | In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. |

| Beloved, do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. | Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. |
| And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask him, we may be sure that all we ask of him will be ours. | And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. |
| It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to place your trust in mortals. | It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. |
| The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart places its trust in him. He has helped me, and I exult; then with my song I praise him. | The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. |

| Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we can approach God with confidence and receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do whatever is pleasing to him. | Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. |
| But if we hope for what we do not yet see, then we wait for it with patience. | But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. |
| Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge. | Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. |
| I do not say this because I have been in need, for I have learned to be content with whatever I have. | Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. |
| As for me, I trust in your kindness; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord because he has been good to me. | But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me. |
| He answered, “Because you have such little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith as tiny as a mustard seed, you will be able to say to this mountain: ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” | And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. |
| Even if an army encamps against me, my heart will not succumb to fear; even if war breaks out against me, I will not have my trust shaken. | Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. |
| O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us, for we have placed our hope in you. | Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. |
| The Lord makes a man’s steps secure when he approves of his conduct. | The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. |
| Love does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. | Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. |
| Although the mountains may be shaken and the hills may totter, my steadfast love will not depart from you, and my covenant of peace will never be shaken, says the Lord who has compassion on you. | For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. |
| Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be accomplished for him. | For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. |
| He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress, so that I stand unshaken. | He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. |
| I am confident that I will behold the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. | I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. |
| And now, dear children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not be put to shame by him at his coming. | And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. |
| Do not envy a violent man or choose to emulate any of his ways. For the perverse man is an abomination to the Lord whose friendship is bestowed only upon the upright. | Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. |
