Trust (2/3)

O how abundant is your goodness that you have laid up for those who fear you, and accomplished for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of everyone! How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I am not afraid; what can flesh do to me?In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world.Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him.And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in mortals. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.
Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace— in peace because they trust in you.You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have boldness before God; and we receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do what pleases him.Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge.
Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
But I trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me.But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.
Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident.Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.
Our steps are made firm by the Lord, when he delights in our way.The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.
It does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you.Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming. And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.
Do not envy the violent and do not choose any of their ways; for the perverse are an abomination to the Lord, but the upright are in his confidence.Do not envy the violent or choose any of their ways. For the Lord detests the perverse but takes the upright into his confidence.

For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end.We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.

Random Bible Verse

Blessed are those who trust in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
They shall be like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots by the stream.
It shall not fear when heat comes,
and its leaves shall stay green;
in the year of drought it is not anxious,
and it does not cease to bear fruit.
