Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent.
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.One who is slow to anger has great understanding; But one who is quick-tempered exalts foolishness.
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.Because in much wisdom there is much grief; and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain.
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.Blessed is a person who finds wisdom, And one who obtains understanding.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.A fool’s anger is known at once, But a prudent person conceals dishonor.
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.Many will be purged, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.
A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.A fool rejects his father’s discipline, But he who complies with rebuke is sensible.

A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish son is a grief to his mother.
