Wisdom (2/3)

«That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory… Ephesians 1:17»
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.Know also that wisdom is like honey for you: If you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.
I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths.
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!
The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious, but fools are consumed by their own lips.
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them.
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors, but through knowledge the righteous escape.
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ. My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ.
A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. The lips of fools bring them strife, and their mouths invite a beating.
My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad indeed.
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.A fool spurns a parent’s discipline, but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.
A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.
A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.
Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings.
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

Excellent speech becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince.Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool— how much worse lying lips to a ruler!
