A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.A fool despises his father’s instruction, But he who receives correction is prudent.
Excellent speech becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince.Excellent speech is not becoming to a fool, Much less lying lips to a prince.
Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right; The righteous walk in them, But transgressors stumble in them.
