Bible Verses about Debt

The wicked borrows and does not repay, But the righteous shows mercy and gives. The wicked borrow, and do not pay back, but the righteous are generous and keep giving.
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.Pay to all what is due them—taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.
The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender. The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.
Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again.
For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it?For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has enough to complete it?
For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you. When the Lord your God has blessed you, as he promised you, you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.
Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, But he who gathers by labor will increase.Wealth hastily gotten will dwindle, but those who gather little by little will increase it.
And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so.Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
