Faith (2/4)

For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.
So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.
He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.
For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.
Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge; and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control, perseverance; and in perseverance, godliness; and in godliness, brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.
Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.
Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening, he shall have whatever he says.
We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”
Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.”But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”
For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake.Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf.

And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.”
