What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? |
But I have been the Lord your God ever since you came out of Egypt. You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Savior except me. | Yet I have been the Lord your God Since the land of Egypt; And you were not to know any god except Me, For there is no savior besides Me. |

And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord. | So I will prove Myself great, show Myself holy, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the Lord. |
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. | Hear, Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. | For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. |
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. | But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. |
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. | Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. |
God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. | God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. |
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. | The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, The world, and those who live in it. |
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” | Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.” |
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. | It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him. |
The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress. | The Almighty—we cannot find Him; He is exalted in power And He will not violate justice and abundant righteousness. |
For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? | For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? |
