| What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
| But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. | You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. |

| God shall bless us, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him. | May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. |

| God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? | God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? |
| The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. | The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. |
