For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.”For, Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.
He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend.The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others.
Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips And from a deceitful tongue.Save me, Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.
And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal truthfully are His delight.The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.
A perverse man sows strife, And a whisperer separates the best of friends.A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.
Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool.Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit.Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known.Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse.The lips of the righteous know what finds favor, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.
Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you.Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
Excellent speech is not becoming to a fool, Much less lying lips to a prince.Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool— how much worse lying lips to a ruler!

But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”
