| Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. | Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. |

| The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. | The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise. |

| I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. | I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. |
