Proverbs 27 - WEB & NIV

Don’t forsake your friend and your father’s friend. Don’t go to your brother’s house in the day of your disaster. A neighbor who is near is better than a distant brother.Do not forsake your friend or a friend of your family, and do not go to your relative’s house when disaster strikes you— better a neighbor nearby than a relative far away.
A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.
Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance. As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
Like water reflects a face, so a man’s heart reflects the man.As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.

Bible verse of the day

Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity,
and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage?
He doesn’t retain his anger forever,
because he delights in loving kindness.
