| Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. | Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. |
| Watch the path of your feet, And all your ways will be established. | Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. |
| Do not turn to the right or to the left; Turn your foot from evil. | Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. |
