Psalm 97 - NRSV & NCB

The Lord loves those who hate evil; he guards the lives of his faithful; he rescues them from the hand of the wicked.

Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he protects the souls of his faithful ones and rescues them from the hand of the wicked.

This God—his way is perfect;
the promise of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all who take refuge in him.

O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you, I will praise your name;
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
