| Venerado seja entre todos o matrimônio e o leito sem mácula; porém aos que se dão à prostituição e aos adúlteros Deus os julgará. | Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. |
| Mulher virtuosa, quem a achará? O seu valor muito excede o de rubins. | Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. |
| O coração do homem considera o seu caminho, mas o Senhor lhe dirige os passos. | A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. |
| Vós, maridos, amai vossa mulher, como também Cristo amou a igreja e a si mesmo se entregou por ela, para a santificar, purificando-a com a lavagem da água, pela palavra. | Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. |

The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. |

| Não vos defraudeis um ao outro, senão por consentimento mútuo, por algum tempo, para vos aplicardes à oração; e, depois, ajuntai-vos outra vez, para que Satanás vos não tente pela vossa incontinência. | Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. |
