Bible Verses about '1 Corinthians 7:3'

The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs. The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife.
But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband.
Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.Do not deprive each other of sexual relations, unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer. Afterward, you should come together again so that Satan won’t be able to tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.”So, what about eating meat that has been offered to idols? Well, we all know that an idol is not really a god and that there is only one God.
Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. But for us, There is one God, the Father, by whom all things were created, and for whom we live. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created, and through whom we live.
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.
No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial.
No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.
For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man.
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”
Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.
