The statement is trustworthy: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him. | It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him. |
And like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation. | As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. |

Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. | Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. |
In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. | Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. |

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus. | Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. |
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. | Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. |
For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? | For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God? |
Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. | Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. |
When pride comes, then comes dishonor; But with the humble there is wisdom. | When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. |
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving. | Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. |
I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have nothing good besides You.” | O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee. |
Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification. | Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. |
