Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. James 2:17	In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it does not have works. faith life following
Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2	When pride is nurtured, disgrace soon follows, but wisdom is the hallmark of the humble. humility wisdom pride
For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? 2 Samuel 22:32	For who is God except the Lord? Who is a rock aside from our God? reliability God protection
Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. 2 Timothy 2:22	Turn away from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart. desires temptation evil
Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. Colossians 3:2	Fix your thoughts on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth. heaven mind world
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Colossians 4:2	Persevere in prayer, with alert minds and thankful hearts. gratitude prayer
Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15	Make every effort to present yourself before God as one who is worthy of his approval, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, but who imparts the word of truth without any alteration. honesty truth work
