“Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” says the Lord Yahweh, “and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?” | Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? |
Behold, God is my helper. The Lord is the one who sustains my soul. | Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. |

And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. | And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. |
The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! | The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. |
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. | Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. |
Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. | Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. |
The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth. | The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. |
The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one who is born from you will be called the Son of God.” | And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. |
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. This is Yahweh’s word to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies. | This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. |
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. | Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. |

Save us now, we beg you, Yahweh! Yahweh, we beg you, send prosperity now. Blessed is he who comes in Yahweh’s name! Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. |
You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you. | Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. |

Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. Yahweh said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power. But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God. | But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. |
It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his mercies don’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. | It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. |
