| Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. | Truly, truly I say to you, the one who receives anyone I send, receives Me; and the one who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. |
| He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. | The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love. |

| So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. | So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” |

| And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity. | Now if a person sins and does any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, though he was unaware, he is still guilty and shall bear his punishment. |
| Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. | Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the Law. |
| For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. | For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” |
| He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. | One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law, Even his prayer is an abomination. |
| The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. | The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. |
| But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. | But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect. |
| Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. | You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave unpunished the one who takes His name in vain. |
| A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! | A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word! |
| Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. | Therefore, no one is to act as your judge in regard to food and drink, or in respect to a festival or a new moon, or a Sabbath day— things which are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. |
| Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. | Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well. |
| Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. | Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God. |

| For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. | For one will hardly die for a righteous person; though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. |
| He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. | The one who has believed and has been baptized will be saved; but the one who has not believed will be condemned. |
| Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. | Opening his mouth, Peter said: “I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him.” |
| Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. | Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. |
| Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. | You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’; but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. |
| He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. | The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him. |
