But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. | Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” |
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. | So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. |

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. | And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. |
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. | Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. |
And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. | Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.” |
And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. | And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. |
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. | For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” |
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. | I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. |
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. | Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. |
For with God nothing shall be impossible. | For no word from God will ever fail. |
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? | What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. | And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. |
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. | Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. |
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. | Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. |
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. | So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. |
Let all your things be done with charity. | Do everything in love. |
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. | Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. |
