Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. | Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. |
For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” | For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. |
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. | Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. |
“For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My favor will not be removed from you, Nor will My covenant of peace be shaken,” Says the Lord who has compassion on you. | For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. |
For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. | For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. |
Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen. | Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. |
Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. | Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. |
Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or in dread of them, for the Lord your God is the One who is going with you. Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones. | Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. |
Lord God of armies, restore us; Make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved. | Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. |
Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord. | Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. |
