| Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life. | Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. |
| Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. | Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight. |
| Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. | Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. |
| But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does. | But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. |
