- He must increase, but I must decrease.

- But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
- Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

but with the lowly is wisdom. - Righteousness exalteth a nation:
but sin is a reproach to any people. - I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
- Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

- A fool's wrath is presently known:
but a prudent man covereth shame. - In all labour there is profit:
but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. - For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
- A fool uttereth all his mind:
but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. - The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again:
but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. Yea, though I walk

I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
