Many will purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will persist in their evil ways.
The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish.The hope of the righteous brings them joy, but the expectations of the wicked are frustrated.
But “he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.” For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.If anyone would boast, let him boast in the Lord. For it is not the one who commends himself who is really approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but deceit in it crushes the spirit.A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but an undisciplined tongue crushes the spirit.

The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.The Lord does not delay in keeping his promise, as some think in terms of delay, but he is patient with you. So then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.

But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.Be doers of the word and not just hearers who only deceive themselves.
A fool despises his father’s correction, but he who heeds reproof shows prudence.A fool spurns his father’s correction, but whoever heeds admonition is prudent.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near through the blood of Christ.

Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised.Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
