| Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. | Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. |
| And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? | For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? |
| Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! | What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! |
| Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit.
