Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit.But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter Jerusalem! Lo, your king comes to you; triumphant and victorious is he, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
Those who guard their mouths preserve their lives; those who open wide their lips come to ruin.Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.
And he said, “It is what comes out of a person that defiles. For it is from within, from the human heart, that evil intentions come: fornication, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, folly. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
The hope of the righteous ends in gladness, but the expectation of the wicked comes to nothing.The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.
And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.
Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother's womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything.As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.

Keep awake therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom.Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

To make an apt answer is a joy to anyone, and a word in season, how good it is!A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word!

Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy.But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

For in much wisdom is much vexation, and those who increase knowledge increase sorrow.For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.
