Coming of Jesus (2/4)

Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.Who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death— even death on a cross.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.
There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.And baptism, which this prefigured, now saves you—not as a removal of dirt from the body, but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God.

Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.”Jesus answered them, “Very truly, I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.”

Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?Who is it that conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died.

Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”
From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”From that time Jesus began to proclaim, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.Over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.The God of peace will shortly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
To which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.For this purpose he called you through our proclamation of the good news, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”Jesus answered, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.”
