Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil; joy fills hearts that are planning peace!Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy.
Rescue me, O Lord, from liars and from all deceitful people.Save me, Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.

And then he added, “It is what comes from inside that defiles you. For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.”For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.”

The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced.The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.
The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
Evil people get rich for the moment, but the reward of the godly will last.A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech.Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
