Bible Verses about 'Enough'
For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it? | For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it? |
Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” | Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” |
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. | So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. |
Do not overwork to be rich; Because of your own understanding, cease! | Do not weary yourself to gain wealth; Stop dwelling on it. |
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.” | “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and put Me to the test now in this,” says the Lord of armies, “if I do not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.” |
He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; Nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity. | One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility. |
Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? | For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? |
Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. | Do not worry about your life, as to what you are to eat; nor for your body, as to what you are to wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. |
Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. | In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. |
Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me. | Keep deception and lies far from me, Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion. |
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. | In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you. |
But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? | But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him? |
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. | And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed. |
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. | For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it, either. If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. |
So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” | And He said to them, “Because of your meager faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” |
