Chinese (traditional)- And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God who has marked you with his seal for the day of redemption.
- Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.
- Hence, be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a sacrificial offering whose fragrance is pleasing to God.
- Indeed, fornication and impurity of any kind, as well as greed, should not even be mentioned among you. Such talk is not fitting for saints.
- Once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
- For light produces all goodness and righteousness and truth.
- Take no part in the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather seek to expose them.
For it is shameful even to speak of what deeds people do in secret. - Therefore, take care to live as intelligent people, and do not be like those who are senseless. Make the most of the present time, for this is a wicked age.
- Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the Church, the body of which he is the Savior.
- Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her in order to sanctify her by cleansing her with water and the word.
- In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself.
- For this reason
a man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife,
and the two shall become one flesh. - However, each one of you should love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife should respect her husband.
For the Lord himself is the one who bestows wisdom;
from his mouth come forth knowledge and understanding. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.Next verse!With image
