Everyone (2/3)

Jesus then said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, even though he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”
May the Lord cause your love to increase and overflow for one another and for everyone else, just as our love does for you.And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.
This is the end of my teaching. All has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for that is the responsibility of everyone. That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.
Let everyone submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which derives from God, and whatever authorities exist have been instituted by God.Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.
Rather, revere Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be prepared to offer an explanation to anyone who asks you to justify the hope that is in you. However, do so with gentleness and respect.Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.
Through the grace that God has bestowed upon me, I advise every one of you not to think of yourself too highly, but to regard yourself objectively, based on the measure of faith that God has granted.Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.
Pay to each person what is rightfully his—taxes to the one to whom taxes are due, tolls to the one to whom tolls are due, respect to the one to whom respect is due, honor to the one to whom honor is due.Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority.
Everyone who sins comes from the devil, for the devil has been a sinner from the very beginning. The Son of God appeared for this very purpose: to destroy the work of the devil. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.
But the one who did not know those wishes, and who acted in such a manner as to deserve a beating, will be beaten less severely. Much will be demanded of a person to whom much has been given, and even more will be asked of a person to whom more has been entrusted. But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
One person may consider one day to be more sacred than another, while another may judge all days to be alike. Let everyone be convinced in his own beliefs. In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable.
You have heard that it was said of old: ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that anyone who looks with lust at a woman has already committed adultery with her in his heart. You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’ But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Indeed, persecution will afflict all who want to lead a godly life in Christ Jesus.Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
Just as in Adam all die, so all will be brought to life in Christ.Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
Therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us labor for the good of all, but especially for those members of the household of the faith. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of your opportunity. Let your speech always be gracious and seasoned with wisdom, so that you will know how to respond properly to all.Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.
Just as he came forth naked from his mother’s womb, so shall he depart, naked as he came, with nothing remaining from his labor that he can carry away in his hands. We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.
Nor would someone light a lamp and then put it under a basket; rather, it is placed upon a lampstand so that it may afford light to all in the house. In the same way, your light must shine so that it can be seen by others; this will enable them to observe your good works and give praise to your Father in heaven. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
As Scripture asserts, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”
Then he said to them, “Go forth into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to all creation.”And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”
The Lord does not delay in keeping his promise, as some think in terms of delay, but he is patient with you. It is not his wish that any should perish but rather that all should be brought to repentance. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
I reprove and discipline all those whom I love. Therefore, be sincere in your desire to repent.I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.
A man is joyful when he utters apt answers, and even more satisfying is a word in season.Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time!
Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father, but whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
And so does kindness, O Lord. You reward each person in accordance with his deeds.Unfailing love, O Lord, is yours. Surely you repay all people according to what they have done.
They answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, and so too will your household.”They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”

Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render fair judgments, and show kindness and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor. Do not plot evil in your heart against one another. This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Judge fairly, and show mercy and kindness to one another.
