| For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. | For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. |

| But when you are arrested and stand trial, don’t worry in advance about what to say. | Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. | Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. |

| Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? | Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? |

| My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. | But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. | Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. | And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. |
| Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord. | Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. |
| Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them. | Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. |
| God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. | For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. |
| So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. | Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. |
| Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge. | Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. |
| It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. | So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. |
