on those who fear him,
and his righteousness to children's children,
to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments. - The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;

Do not forsake the work of your hands. - If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The righteous shall be kept safe forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. - The Lord loves those who hate evil;
he guards the lives of his faithful;
he rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
